SIT Graduate Institute International Teaching and Education Scholarship for Turkish Students

SIT is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for Turkish students interested in a master’s degree program at SIT Graduate Institute. This scholarship recognizes Turkish citizens that have demonstrated a commitment to English language teaching and/or the field of international education in Turkey. Through the application, the ideal candidate will not only demonstrate a proven commitment to the field but will indicate how they would plan on using their degree to continue and further these efforts in their home country.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have been accepted into an SIT Graduate Institute master’s degree program and meet the requirements outlined below. No additional application is required for this scholarship. Accepted students who have applied for financial aid will be automatically considered.

Criteria to be considered:

1. At least five years of relevant work in the field(s) of English language teaching and/or international education
2. An undergraduate degree with a proven academic record
3. A compelling application essay with a focus on an issue related to your professional experience and what you plan to accomplish in your country of citizenship upon graduation
4. Acceptance to SIT Graduate Institute by February 24, 2015

All applications must include the following materials and information:

• Résumé/CV
• Essay
• Three references
• Official transcripts
• Payment of the $50 application fee
• English language test scores or proof of previous study at an English-speaking institution
